We are currently hiring for the following positions:
Associate Attorney, Estate Planning & Administration
Rasmussen Law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing estate planning and administration practice.
We are looking for an attorney who enjoys working directly with individuals and families, providing thoughtful legal counsel, and contributing to a collaborative, client-focused firm environment.
Experience in estate planning and/or estate administration is preferred, but we are willing to train the right attorney who brings strong legal experience from another area of practice and is eager to develop expertise in estate planning and administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet directly with clients to understand their families, assets, goals, and estate planning needs
- Advise clients on estate planning strategies and help develop plans tailored to their individual circumstances
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, and other estate planning documents
- Assist with probate, estate administration, and trust administration matters
- Conduct legal research and prepare clear, accurate legal documents and correspondence
- Manage multiple client matters, deadlines, and follow-up responsibilities
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, and other professionals
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to provide an organized and exceptional client experience
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Is licensed and in good standing to practice law in North Carolina
- Has 2+ years experience in estate planning and/or estate administration, or expertise in another area of law and a strong interest in transitioning into estate planning and administration
- Demonstrates strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
- Communicates clearly and confidently with clients and other professionals
- Is highly organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
- Can manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness
- Approaches sensitive client situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
- Is comfortable working in a high-tech environment and learning modern legal software, research tools, and systems
- Works well both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Values continued learning, feedback, and professional growth
- Comfortable with giving educational presentations on basic estate planning concepts.
