My dad was a best-selling author and a big deal in his day. At some point the book on top was the best-selling financial book of all time. Because I was young at the height of his fame, I never read any of his books. As an estate planner, I love working with financial advisors. I learn new things from them every day, but I can also understand the financial lingo because I heard my Dad do radio and TV interviews my entire life. We were all workers at his Ruff Times national conventions for years (I have 13 siblings, so imagine the tax advantages). We took turns accompanying him on book tours and travel seminars. The other day I was rummaging on Thriftbooks dot com and wondered if they had any of my dad's books, because I don't have them all and I want my kids to have them. Oh, and also because it is time for ME to read them. I was thrilled to have these come in the mail yesterday! I miss my dad a lot, but I know heaven is not far away and we'll be together again. I hope to share pearls of wisdom from Howard in the coming months!
